HIV/AIDS 5-6 - IVC

Ages 10-13 Grade 5-6 45 mins

HIV and AIDS for grades 5 and 6 is an overview of the immune system and its response to infection from HIV. Special emphasis is placed on the fact that unlike other viruses, HIV is not transmitted easily. Updates on statistics, modes of transmission, the infection process, and age appropriate activities that will help youth better understand the disease will be discussed. All McMillen Center programs are taught from an abstinence until marriage basis.

This program requires video conferencing equipment.
