About IVC

Interactive Videoconferencing allows schools and other organizations that would otherwise not have the ability to come to the McMillen Center to enjoy our fun, interactive programs.

Through IVC, students from across the globe can connect with the McMillen Center to receive vital health education. This real-time learning environment can be as effective as a face-to-face interaction but without the hassle and costs of travel. Props are shipped to the connecting site to help enhance the learning experience.

Each program is aligned with National Health Education Standards. Our goal for each program is to incorporate youth participation, making the learning environment fun and highly effective. Topics are age appropriate and designed to maximize positive outcomes in knowledge, attitude, and life-long behavior.

If you are unsure whether or not you have access to this technology, your principal or technology specialists should be able to provide that information to you.

Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration

~ CILC Quote of the Day ~

Whenever a program or presentation is engaging and interactive it is usually well received by students, this was exactly the case. The students were really excited that the speaker could see them and was so knowledgeable! It is always great to hear the information that I give them backed up by CDC facts and another educator from McMillen. They thought the presenter was pretty and great to listen to during the program so that helped too!
