STD's Not for Me

Youth will learn about responsibilities that come with adolescence and are taught the consequences of sexual activity. Students are given accurate information concerning signs and symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases. Through case study worksheets, they will be able to identify diseases according to the specific symptoms of each infection. Using a dice activity, youth will learn about the risk of infection transmission. Abstinence will be presented as the best way to prevent sexual transmission of these diseases. Medical photographs are a part of this program. The Safe Haven Law will be presented to program participants.
