Howard

Howard Luehrs joined the McMillen Center staff in March of 2008 as a Health Educator.  He graduated from Guilford College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and UNC-Chapel Hill with a Masters in Art and Teaching in Science.

Howard lives in Wilmot, IN with his wife and two sons. He and his wife own a 160 year-old water-powered gristmill and a mini-farm. His family enjoys camping, raising animals and eating pizza. Howard is also on the adjunct faculty for Trine University and works during the summer as the Interpretive Naturalist for Chain O’Lakes State Park. In the past he taught pregnant teenagers in the Washington, D.C. area.

Howard’s primary health interests are nutrition and parenting. He looks forward to working with Fort Wayne area students and helping them make healthy choices.
